The Rolwaling Valley Trek takes you through the beautiful and well-preserved Gaurishankar Conservation Area tucked between Everes tand Langtang regions. This trek is a section of a trail that links Everest and Langtang sections of the world-famous Great Himalaya Trail. The trek passes through quintessential Buddhist settlements of Simigaun, Beding and Na offering you an opportunity to experience the unique culture, tradition and lifestyle of the Sherpa people. Of late, Beding is becoming popular in the mountaineering community as the village of Everest summiteers as almost each household here has at least one Everest summiteeer. The trek follows Rolwaling River, a tributary of the mighty Tamakoshi, to its origin at Tso Rolpa glacial lake. You can enjoy views of Gauri Shankar, Ramdung and Kang Nagucho, among others. The trek begins with a drive to Jagat village and an easy walk to Chechet on the banks of the Tamakoshi River. From Chechet, the trial is mostly uphill to the picturesque village of Simigaun. It then contours a hill rising above Rolwaling River to the Dongang. From Dongang, it's an easy walk to Beding and further to Na -- the last settlement on the trail. A day hike to Tso Rolpa glacial lake next morning is the icing on th cake.
